ReplyDeleteDublin , like Liverpool, for me , has changed & not for better,,, newer * more “cosmopolitan” but lost a bit of soul...IMO, Of course ladies may feel entitled to be wary of the possible “fox in the hen-house” but i have had enough “relationships” I was LUCKY to have had 12 years with one of the most wonderful women in my life (Jacqui) i am not looking for anything, just a bit if humanity. .
I realise the ladies probably have a full social calendar especially at this time, but I just want to get past this period, because its weird...I joke but cant forget that my estranged girl (Noela) had a birthday on 28 November ) I haven't seen since 2009) dont know where her mum took her! Jacqui would have had her birthday on December 1 (cremated 2005) and Adam, my son, (killed in 1999) should have been 52, on december 16.... and yet I am still a “lucky boy”

at approximately 11 am I withdrew from the “proposed residents meeting”
1. I did NOT get an email (as requested numerous times before about this proposed meeting
(for Tuesday 16th December 2025)
2. Mr C.Shaw only “mentioned this in passing” yesterday as I walked by reception , and casually asked if I would attend, I complied, I checked with him that this would be IN THE CANTEEN!
3. at 10.30h Tuesday morning I made my way to the Unit 81 Canteen, and was preparing my notes accordingly, I noticed one of the “security /reception staff walk through the canteen, he said NOTHING about a change of venue
4. I noticed there was several noisy workers BUSY in canteen and wondered why this location had been chosen!
5. just before 11am I took a note about the situation to reception and was told there is a change in LOCATION, (no one had bothered to tell me or the other 2 residents in the canteen, who seemed oblivious to any proceedings.
6. That this day is also the momorial of my son (Adam) who was killed in 1999 and would have had his birthday today, means that (as the culprits from SMS Ltd who made a bogus report recently called me “agitated” when they lied! ) may have caused an emotional recation, I decided that I WILL NOT be fecked around any more my these “protectors”
7. AND on that subect, noted once again the absence of “Aldi cards” informed by a security/recptionist last night, WITH AN AMERICAN accent, the lack of awareness of those supposed to be PROTECTING residents in unequalled. For me thats the same as if he were ISRAELI and I were PALESTINIAN!

you see the most wonderful & WARM "BONDING" I had was when I was with a group who met up for sports (for example when I was captain of the local amayeur TEAM)
as a boy, or managing the youth Teams abroad, or even the "walking footy" lads who at least came to my events & I to theirs) its a SOCIAL & HUMAN aspect to me always associated with
also MY club LIVERPOOL, the only "constant family" I have had when all normal family are gone..
its missing at your group! IF this seems abgry, ..there you go,,thats the honest reply..
p.s you should BE HAPPY that I am early, I have PUT UP THE NETS in the last several weeks (again)

this is yet another group organization that ignore my requests to give information to bar staff at busy locations, this is the third group I have tried to connect with, spending a Saturday evening going to a location, in a large of busy pub, ...i have asked 2 other groups to do this, to simply tell the staff which part of the location they are at *and state its a meet up group) 2 other groups have banned me simply because I complained “

I believe this absurd reaction is because twice before I have asked for a meeting point at gatherings of this & other groups, having waste my time trying to locate the host & group as they tend to meet in VERY large (often multi-storey) pubs & similar locations (I propose receiving a "commission" for doing so, I did not make any other comment other than to ask "is there a meeting point &/or do the staff know when & where our meetup group will be?" (as so often hosts forget to tell location staff
which is also not good for "meet up reputation"
I am concerned that such unwarranted reaction will affect my status in the Dublin community

I grew up in Liverpool but started moving abroad when I was only 19,
I & have travelled half the world as sort of Nomad, first for my career and after recovering
from coma (I am fully recovered BTW) lived in several European countries,
I love music & football & in the last 25 years have organised youth & community initiatives,
& football tournaments for youth or supporters & a sort of academy during 12 years living in Montenegro.
However 2 years ago my home was ransacked & almost everything taken, clothes ,
furniture & vital documents I had to return first to UK on emergency documentation,
and have spent the last year getting myself sorted, I am a good organiser ,
speak several languages and usually apply myself easily to whatever situation if people are reasonable,
& willing to co-operate, I have a sort of "old school/scouse" sense of humour
& consider myself KELT due to scottish & Irish relations..
I enjoy organising community &/or youth initiatives,
I still play "walking football" & have recently become a fairly adequate "Pickleball" player ,
I enjoy discussion or exchanging stories (I have a thousand) & will listen to your stories too ;)
